Picture of Will Chase For Immediate Press Release – June 16th, 2023

The Board of Directors of Banc3 Holdings, Inc., and its primary subsidiary, Bank3, has named William (Will) J. Chase, Jr. to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Bank3 and Vice-Chairman of Banc3 Holdings, Inc. effective June 16, 2023. Chase most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Triumph Bank. “This move adds considerable depth to Bank3’s leadership” said Bank3 Executive Chairman Frank Cianciola. “Simply put, we see this move as a game changer.”

With this new alignment at the top, Cianciola will remain as Chairman and CEO of Banc3 Holdings, Inc. and Executive Chairman of Bank3, and Scott Hauss as President of Banc3 Holdings, Inc. and Bank3. Cianciola, as Founder and architect of Bank3 strategy, is excited about the future of the company and the opportunity to collaborate with Chase and Hauss on the path forward to the next growth tier. “There is so much opportunity within our niche—small and mid-sized business, commercial real estate, mortgage, and private client—we intend to expand our customer base and serve their needs at a very high level, just as we committed at the outset of our founding. Will Chase is a leader, along with Cianciola and Hauss, that understands the importance of all stakeholders—customers, employees, our board, shareholders, the regulators, and the communities we serve. I am confident that he will bring a high level of critical thinking to our organization and to our executive management team at just the right time in our evolution.”

Hauss will continue to focus his considerable strengths of business building, client relationships, and revenue-generating activities. “With the opening of the Bank’s Brentwood Loan Production Office in February, adding to our current locations, growth opportunities have expanded dramatically. Hauss will concentrate on enhancing those efforts in a big way.” Said Cianciola.

With the addition of Chase, Bank3 is adding a proven, accomplished leader to its already seasoned executive team. Well known in business and banking circles, he was named CEO of the Year for organizations with 50-200 employees by Inside Memphis Business in 2020. Chase and Cianciola have known each other for over 40 years, and they worked together at Commerce Union Bank of Memphis and Renasant Bank. Chase led the successful sale of Triumph Bank to Simmons First National Corp in late 2021.

Chase has served as a Board Member of the American Bankers Association- Community Banker’s Council and the Tennessee Banker’s Association. Active in the community, he is a former Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Concord Academy School for Special Needs Students, and a former Governing Board Member of St Francis Hospital. He is a graduate of Memphis University School and Vanderbilt University, as well as the ABA’s National Commercial Lending School.

“I have a great deal of respect and admiration for Frank and his team for all that they have accomplished since founding Bank3 in 2016, particularly in light of the challenging environment for both business and banking during that time.” said Chase. “With the geographic footprint that has been established and heading towards $500 million in assets, the bank is poised for considerable growth. They have a very impressive customer base and one of the nation’s cleanest loan portfolios. I am excited about joining such a talented team of professionals and I look forward to contributing to the organization’s future success.”

Please welcome Will to the Bank3 team.
