Extra protection for sensitive account changes

Certain activities within Bank3 Online Banking are considered “high-risk actions” because they could put your account at risk if performed by someone other than you. When you take one of these actions, you may be asked to complete an additional verification step. You’ll also receive an email confirmation afterward so you’re aware of the activity.

These actions may include:

  • Changing your username, password, email address or phone number
  • Resetting two-factor authentication or removing a device
  • Adding an external account or transfer account
  • Adding or updating a Bill Pay payee
  • Adding a card to a digital wallet or viewing card details
  • For business customers, initiating certain ACH batches or wires, creating new users, or updating business contact information

Using Bank3 Online Banking on a new device

If you log in from a new or unrecognized device, you can still access Bank3 Online Banking and use most features normally. However, certain high-risk actions may be temporarily unavailable until the new device is verified.

This added protection helps prevent someone who may have obtained your login credentials from using an unfamiliar device to make sensitive changes or access your funds.

How to verify a new device

If you already have a trusted device that you regularly use for Bank3 Online Banking, you may be able to verify your new device yourself:

  1. Log in to Bank3 Online Banking on the new device and go to Settings.
  2. Look for the message that says “This device is unverified.”
  3. Select “Verify this device.”
  4. Follow the prompts to approve the new device using your trusted device.

Once your device is verified, you should not need to repeat the process unless you attempt a high-risk action from another new or unrecognized device.

If you see a “Call us” option instead of “Verify this device,” or if you have trouble completing the verification process, please contact Bank3 at (901) 623-2266 or support@bank3.com. Our team will be happy to help verify your device and get you back to banking securely.
