Bank3 News: Bank3 Partners with New Hope Christian Academy

Several weeks ago, staff members from Bank3 had an amazing opportunity to meet with fourth-grade students at New Hope Christian Academy, teaching a financial literacy class based on the American Bankers Association’s “Teach Children to Save” curriculum.

During their time at New Hope Christian, our Bank3 team was able to teach students how to be mindful when it comes to how much they are saving and spending. Through the use of piggy banks, a make-shift grocery store, and operating toy teller drawers, students were able to gain hands-on experience with not only saving money but how the point-of-sale transaction process works.

The American Bankers Association offers age-appropriate curriculum materials for their financial literacy program to banks. Banks then provide those resources to help students understand how credit works and learning how to save money.
